First, let us know a little about this great platform. As a matter of fact, Facebook is a social platform that does not need any introduction since it is the number one social network where people would first want to connect with their loved ones, friends and colleagues and at the same time, share content. With the “Share” and “Like” buttons, people are encouraged to maintain interaction within the community. With over 1.23 billion users, Facebook maintains a higher number of active platform users than other platforms.

It is possible you are already on Facebook but hey, you can’t use your personal profile as your business page, it is very unprofessional as certain limitations will be placed on your profile’s functionality, especially when it comes to marketing your online business. Step 6: You are on the set up page now. Add the category your business is.

Step 8: Enter your website link. You can also add your Twitter handle if you have any.
Step 9: Create a unique Facebook web address for your page. You can use the name of your business. If it turns out that the name you want to use of the web address is already taken by another Facebook user, you have to be creative in coming up with a web address name that is not taken and synonymous with your business name.
Step 10: Upload a picture for your business page. This can be uploaded from your computer or your website.
Step 11: Add your Facebook business page under your Favourites so that you can easily access it whenever you need to.
Step 12: Choose your preferred page audience or you can choose to skip this step, whatever suits you. Click on “Save”.
Voila! Your online business page is created and ready for you to “Build an Audience” by inviting your Facebook friends, family, email contacts and colleagues to “Like” and “Share”. To give them the lead, “Like” your page first and then invite others to do the same.
If you choose to, you can advertise your page on Facebook in order to create more awareness concerning your small business and also generate more revenue.
